Hey there! I'm Alyssa, a mission-driven UX designer and researcher.

I am currently a Design Fellow with the U.S. Digital Corps, modernizing services at the Office of Head Start. Head Start funds school readiness programs for over 700,000 low-income children per year in order to break the cycle of generational poverty.

I started out in physical product design, earning a Master's from Stanford and Bachelor's from MIT in mechanical engineering. I transitioned into UX in order to directly advocate for the people I am serving. My experience includes:

  • Mixed-methods research to upgrade employee workflows at the City of Philadelphia and Stanford
  • Service design of new systems to modernize food access and supportive interim housing facilities
  • Digital product design for web-based features at Onshape, a software startup

Outside of work, you can find me dancing, reading, knitting sweaters, or baking cakes for friends and family! Feel free to check out my resume or email me if you'd like to chat :)
